邻居或公园的狗咬人后，主人常说狗「从不咬人」。

加州对狗咬实行严格责任（strict liability）：只要您是合法处于该场所且没有挑衅，狗主人原则上就要对咬伤负责，「狗以前很乖」不是抗辩理由。及时就医、拍摄伤口、确认狗的疫苗记录、获取主人和目击者信息，然后再谈赔偿。
