Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LawyerFinder (lawyerfinder.ai), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Nature of Service
LawyerFinder is a group of independent California attorneys jointly advertising their services. It is not a lawyer referral service and not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, and using this website does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LawyerFinder.
3. User Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when submitting a case evaluation request.
- You are responsible for evaluating whether any attorney who contacts you is suitable for your needs.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use our service.
4. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Submitting information through our platform or browsing our website does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is only formed after you sign a retainer agreement directly with an attorney.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, competence, or outcome of services provided by any attorney. LawyerFinder is not responsible for the actions or omissions of any attorney in the group.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawyerFinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service or any attorney services obtained through our platform.
7. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY — IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of this website or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and LawyerFinder each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitration will be conducted in California and governed by California law. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice through our website within 30 days of first accepting these Terms; opting out does not affect the other provisions of these Terms.
8. Attorney Advertising
Content on this website may constitute attorney advertising under applicable state bar rules. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
10. SMS and Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile number and consent on our intake form, you agree that LawyerFinder and the participating attorney may contact you by text message (SMS) about your inquiry, including through automated technology. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
