About Slip & Fall
Slip-and-fall accidents happen when someone slips on a wet, spilled, or slippery surface, like a freshly mopped floor or an unattended spill. These falls are common in supermarkets, restaurants, and offices, and can cause serious back, hip, and head injuries. In California, a property owner generally must keep the premises reasonably safe, and a claim typically requires showing the owner knew or should have known of the hazard and did not clean or warn of it. Because California follows pure comparative negligence, you may still recover even if partly at fault. Damages may include medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
